Earlier this month reports surfaced linking Wolverhampton Wanderers with potentially having an interest in young Inter Milan defender Zinho Vanheusden.

Head coach Nuno Espirito Santo was said to have an interest in the highly rated 19-year-old Belgian centre-half who had been impressive by all accounts during a loan spell with Standard Liege in 2018/19.

Wolves To Rival Southampton For £18m Belgian Starlet

Although the lad is yet to debt for current side Inter Milan, he was working his way back from a spell on the sidelines owing to a cruciate ligament injury but with a good year of football under his belt, there are naturally no lingering concerns when it comes to his fitness.

The original report said we were in the chase along with Southampton for his services but it would take a fee of around £18million to secure his services.

An update from outlet Het Belang van Limburg via Sport Witness has us as continuing with our interest in the player, but after holding talks with Southampton, they have now dropped out of the chase for him.

They do however claim that we are now behind Sassuolo as they have taken pole position on a potential deal, but if we want the lad we’ll get him.
